I just got back from an appointment with my pulmonary doc. I asked him about changing my PCP from a family practice physician to an internal medicine doc, that would see me when I am in the hospital for my lungs too. It is a great continuity of care issue. I had an eye opening moment! He gave me the names of two doctors. THEN he told me no matter who I chose...they would have to contact him because no one would believe that I have had ARDS 4 times. Now I am wopndering if that is the problem I have with people answering me when I ask a question about ARDS on pretty much any web site!? I am a retired RN, maybe I should have recognized this. It just never crossed my mind. I will address things with this in mind from now on! Hope everyone is doing good! sincerely sassym
