There are many people that find medication and counseling helpful. Some listen to soothing music, use relaxation techniques, and counseling to help them deal with their anxiety.

There is a group for panic attacks also on this site. There are some helpful tips there too.

I'm so sorry forthe loss of your mom. I lost my father last Oct. and know how difficult it can be. There is a bereavement group here too. They are wonderful, caring people.
