Hi- my name is Linda and I have been diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety. I take Lithium 900 mg, Valium 40 mg a day per needed, I was on 900 mg of Seroquel and that is where this problem started again because I have to be weaned off due to Seroquel tearing apart my digestive tract. Now that I am down to 600 mg the depression and anxiety have come back in full force and is not a pleasant feeling. He put me on tegetrol 100 mg been on that for a little over a week and it is not counteracting the anxiety or the depression- the depression is more like an overall sad feeling- the anxiety is more like worrying about everything. I know I have a long road till I can completely say good-bye to Seroqeuel. The other withdrawls are uncomfortable this feeling is just horrible.
Bipolar dx since 2007-
Lithium-900 mg
zoloft 200 mg-
Restoril-30mg @ bedtime started10/7/10
valium 40-mg
Seroquel and being weaned currently 800mg follow my journey on saying good-bye to this drug.Been on 900 mg since December of 09.Begin weaning at 800mg on 10/14/10
Lamictal-increased dose on 10/12- 200mg
Adderral- 40 mg
Propanolol-20mg

Please keep in mind that I am not a health care professional. If you feel that you are in crisis please seek help through your psych or the ER. I am here to listen.

Hi and welcome to the group.

Your roller coater ride with meds is all to familiar with this group. I was on seroquil and gained 30 pounds. I am off of it too.

I find my anxiety worse than my depression. It is fueled by fear. Depression I can talk it out, most of the time.

Please post as often as you need. We have all been there.Smile

I had rebound anxiety after being off all my meds except Lamictal for about a month and a half. I was doing pretty good up to that point then the anxiety kicked into high gear. The only good thing that came out of this experience is that my tolerances for Klonopin went back down and I only needed a low dose. Now I'm back to five meds a day just to feel normal. I have been going through med changes for months now just trying to get hold of the anxiety.
peace & hugs
Rick
