I am wondering how to calm down when anxiety is high and your thoughts are racing and your head is pounding and all you can do is literally panic and you are not able to slow anything down?

I really do not want to get into all the details of what is causing my anxiety but they are found in my diary. But anyways I just want some peace and to learn how to control it. Thanks

Love Jessica

HI I FIND DEEP BREATHING HELPS ALOT. NOT SURE IF YOU NO HOW TO DO THIS BUT IF YOU KEEP PRACTISING IT IT REALLY DOES HELP. WATCH YOUR STOMACH GO UP & DOWN & FOCUS ON BREATHING THROUGH YOUR NOSE & WATCH YOUR ABDOMNEN MOVE UP & DOWN. IT REALLY HELPS YOU CALM DOWN. PRACTISE IT EVEN WHEN YOU ARE NOT ANXIOUS SO YOU CAN MASTER IT WHEN YOU REALLY NEED TO USE IT. I ALSO CLOSE MY EYES WHILST DOING IT & IT REALLY DOES WORK. HOPE THIS HELPS Smile

Sometimes we need to stop analyzing the past, stop planning the future, stop figuring out how we feel, stop deciding what we want, and just see what happens.

Forget the past, it has already happened, worry not about the future, it has yet to come. Concentrate on today, and make every moment count.

I am sorry right now my advice would not be very helpful, i use to go and do crafts but that don't even help my anxiety
Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
Maybe someday you'll look up,
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
"Isn't something missing?"

You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago.
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?

Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
I know what you do to yourself,
I breathe deep and cry out:
"Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?"

Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?

And if I bleed, I'll bleed,
Knowing you don't care.
And if I sleep just to dream of you
And wake without you there,
Isn't something missing?
Isn't something...

Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

I feel like that sometimes nothing helps! UGH. I am just trying to go through the day as normal. I noticed that in the past calling out of work and sitting around was not a good thing to do. I just try to walk around my neighborhood and force myself to eat and try to hang out with people.

Hang in there everyone. I am just trying to focus on the fact that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even though its hard to imagine when you are in the anxious state.

Its really hard to tell you what to do, different things work for differnt people, sometimes I will go on this site and write it out, gardening also helps me take my mind off my fears, but not always, the fears at time are so irrational. Xanax helps me but if I have to drive I don't take it so have to deal with anxiety, different times different things, breathing is a good idea. I wish I could give you the right answer, but I am still trying to figure it out, support from people who know what you are going through helps alot
My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor. Please do not take anything I say as medical advice or a diagnosis.
