I am 19 and was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder only about 6 months ago. I was given Xanax for the attacks, but I found myself taking that a bit more than I should have been, so my doctor changed me to a daily dose of paroxatine (Paxil I think?). I guess it's been helping, although i still keep the Xanax on hand just in case.

So my problem recently has been with missing some doses... (I've been on it for about 5 months). Within the last week I think I've missed 3 morning doses, just because with work my schedule has been messed up and I keep forgetting. However, for the past few days I've been experiencing this uncontrollable anger, and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's not like I'm going around beating people up or anything obviously, but even the littlest things make me furious and I can't even sit in the same room with my family without something they say or do completely pissing me off.

Soooo... I guess after all that rambling and blabbing, I'm wondering if this is normal. I guess I just assumed it was the missed medication since that's the only 'change' recently, but idk. I finally gave in and took a few Xanax (so that's 1.5)and I do feel a lot better, but that may also just be because I'm just laying under the covers and I'm not around people.

I feel really stupid starting a thread about something like me being moody, but it's starting to concern me. It's literally to the point where I want to punch people, but I just have the self control not to. Multiple times just today I've been do angry at stupid little things that I wanted to cry just out of pure anger

Anyone have similar experiences or know what might be going on?

Thank you to anyone who reads this, I know it was long but I REALLY need some help...

I took Paxil for several months and didn't experience anger. I had to get off of it for a different reason. From reading online it says that if you're experiencing "new or worsening mental or mood changes (eg, agitation, panic attacks, aggressiveness, impulsiveness, irritability, hostility, exaggerated feeling of well-being, restlessness, or inability to sit still)" that you should see a doctor right away.

Yeah, I will second that - you are getting into difficulty from the medicine.

And please stay away from the xanax - because you are looking for big trouble by jumping onto xanax.

Cantact your doctors office today and get some help.

I am not a doctor - and my advice is purely from my personal experience and my opinion!!

I agree with the others, could very well be the paxil. Psychiatric drugs meddle with brain chemistry in an attempt to fix mood disorders. Many times, they can have the opposite effect...the black box warning is an example.

It happens to me also , if i miss or when i cut the Klonopin pill . I am agressive and very easy to enervate . Any little thing that doesn't go the way i want , drives me mad and i go berserk . It's a side-effect .

It was also my first experience with Paxil , extreme agitation that lead to a panic attack .

I never got angry if I missed my benzo dose for example. I just would become really anxious and almost physically sick and weak esp. from the short half life drugs.

It's different from a person to another . There are many other factors implied . But i get that if i miss it , and i had that 2 weeks ago and almost started a fight with the Mayor of the city , because i got mad on him .

Its probaly the Paxil, Im not a dctor but from alot of what I hear that drug isnt a good one. Makes people crazy. Almost everyone I know that went on that pill had side effects..talk to your doc and tell hm. So to sum it up I agree with the others.

I just woke up and i feel that my body is preparing to fight . What the . I feel it in my hips , my biceps and my shoulders and my heart is pumping like an engine . I think i had a bad dream or something . And it's weird , it's been only 6 hours since i took my bedtime Klonopin pill .

The problem is that i don't know who i need to fight with .
