Oh my-well if you're going through what I did with my heart it is terrifying.

Anything related with the heart causes anxiety so it's a vicious cycle where you may or not feel the anxiousness, the heart gets triggered and bam that sets of another string of anxiety related messages to the brain and triggers even more symptoms. If it happened again now even though I've been through it before it would still knock me for a loop just because of the level of discomfort you go through.

I'm sorry.Sad

Hi Celebrid,

I have lost much family and friends too because of my anxiety disorder. I also lost a 25 year career and had to go on SSDI. Currently, I don't have much support either except for places and people like MDJunction on the internet. These truly are the only people who can understand and relate to you because they are going through the same things you are going through. I can actually deal with the panic ok when it happens now but the chronic, nagging, constant anxiety is what is really ruining my quality of life @ this moment in time. I hope you can find some solace and support here. I just had another bad round of heart palps. I absolutely hate them so I know how you feel. I personally found with me that refined sugar makes them worse so I try to limit my sugar intake to a min. Did your anxiety just start 3 months ago for you? I have been struggling with this crap for almost 30 years now.

TinaDWu said>>>>>>I understand how you feel I never got support from my family either as I was growing up. Anxiety is very difficult to understand for people that never had it or never bothered getting any information on it.I agree TinaDWu . I recall when I initially started having panic attacks many years ago. People were sympathetic at first and then they start to think you are just exaggerating and start to avoid you. Now, I just talk to my therapist and people on the net who are going through the same things I am going through. I do have one true friend (non-family member) who calls and e-mails me weekly to see how I am doing. My family essentially doesn't have much to do with me anymore and that is ok.

@Celebrid, are you on any drugs or in therapy @ the moment. Panic disorder tends not to start after the age of 30, although I know there are exceptions to every rule. Are you just having the sx's of anxiety now like heart palps, inability to relax, and muscle tension or are you actually having panic attacks along with the general anxiety?
