Yes it's very difficult.

It took me quite a while but my heart has calmed down.

Hopefully yours will too.

I know it's no fun!

It sucks to be grounded and worried you'll hurt yourself.

Hang in there we understand and can try to support you in this.

I suffer from anxiety too. I understand full well the symptoms of anxiety. Sometimes it gets so bad it develops into panic attacks. I agree with you totally when you said you felt like it was a heart attack. It is really scary and there isn't a thing you can do about it. My doctor gave me Xanax .25mg to be taken once in the morning and it helps some. But it is not advisable to use it on a long term basis as it is very addictive. We feel for you and as to support and understanding from the family, it was the same in my case, they just could not imagine what I was going through and yes oftentimes I wish so much that they would understand. Please talk to us for we care for you and support you in any way possible.
I am not a medical doctor and the advice I share with you reflects my own personal opinion and is no substitute for the advice and treatment of a professional medical doctor.

Yeah, I used to have constant palpitations. Really not a nice feeling. Are you on any medication - many of the medications for anxiety disorders are particularly good for helping with the physical symptoms.
Also not a doctor

Hi celebird

I have been there. I had all the symptoms of a heart attack.

Note to women out there, heart attacks for us don't always follow the usual symptomatic route.

It's scarey as hell...what if this is the big one and I am ignoring it?/Sick There is so much loss ( such as activities, hobbies) we experience a lot of grief .

Exactly it's hard and I find comfort in praying every night but talking with a group helps me to talking to someone who truly understands

Hi celebird

My faith life has kept me from going overe the edge. Saying what's on my mind is also a big help. In order to post our thoughts we have to first organize them. We then prioritize them so our posts arn't to wordy. I helps me clerify. Posting uses the cognitive side of my mind so my emotional side has to tone down a bit.Grin

What makes me feel better is when other people say hey yeah I had that feeling too and I am okay.

Nothing bad happened to me it gives me hope that what I'm feeling is not going to hurt me.
