...slowly recovering.

I went in for a disability evaluation and before i knew it, certain things I revealed put me at risk so I went over to the ER with my Dad. Several hours later I was put in a private psychiatric facility. The certain things I revealed was relating to my nagging thoughts of hurting myself lately. My depression had gotten so severe, I was messing around with Percocet wondering how much would kill me.

They had me on SO for the first night. The hospital was awful, because I hate hospitals. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 w/ a severe depressive episode. It was not easy walking in and admitting I needed help/meds, and such but I did it and I'm going to stay focused on recovery.

Furthur diagnosis will probably happen when I get a regular Psych Doc, which I have an appt with one who accepts a sliding scale fee for therapy and meds until My insurance kicks in.

Hard as it was, I'm glad I did it.

I'm on abilify, seroquel, ambien, and klonopin.

Bipolar 1 w/ rapid cycling
Anxiety
Insomnia
ADD

Concerta
Lamictal
Paxil
Naproxen
Ambien

I'm an Advocate

Hi

I agree..It was the best thing to do. It's good to be in a safe place, even though we don't want to be there. Getting a diagnosis helps to pin point the treatment plan. Keep posting so we can help you through the start of recovery.
