As a student, I'm getting tuition fee loans (that have recently spiked their interest rates) and I don't have any time for part a part time job (because the specific course I'm on, Law, is very work intensive), so I have no income to speak of. I'm also currently paying for driving lessons and tests which seems to be a never ending process having failed 3 times, and my theory test expires soon so I will have to pay for that too. Even though I'm not in debt right now, Christmas has done its annual damage, and it has gotten to the point where I fear spending money, even for food (but only for lunchtimes, I still live with my parents so thankfully they provide the rest). I've been racking my brain, but the truth of 'no easy way to earn money' always comes back to haunt me.

I'm also someone who loves to shop, so it hurts to be unable to enjoy the January sales as I have in previous years.

Thanks for listening.

However, I know that there are many people with far more worrying finance difficulties than mine, so feel free to add your own story.

Right now I live with my parents and am presently unemployed. Not in school. Just out of work. I do get unemployment. I understand how much not shopping sucks. I also hate HATE the idea of debt. My mom tells me that at some point in life we will all have debt. I know she is right. I think most of us are. You sound like a worrier, so am I. As long as you are not an obsesive worrier, maybe some worry can be helpful. Ya know, keeping an eye on the ball. Good luck with driving and school. Coco

Thank you very much. It would seem I feel very much the same way as you do cocomonster. I don't worry about it obsessively...but winning the lottery would be nice. lol

As long as I stay out of the stores I really do not care about shopping. But as soon as I go into one, like Target or Hobby Lobby, I want to spend, spend, spend. So my advise is stay out of the stores unless you are going for groceries or meds!

Dannyboi have you tried to get your loans deferred or on forebearance?
