I had another weekend long anxiety attack which became a major panic attack last night. I got no sleep and spend the night trying to throw up because anxiety makes me so nauseous. I was literally shaking so much that when I tried to take a bath, half the tub spilled out onto the floor.

I'm just starting to breathe normally. Just glad that you guys are out there and understand.

I'm so scared.

So sorry your having a rough time with your anxiety. Now that your starting to feel better maybe another bath would help? Are you on any meds? Sounds like you may need something if not...

binky- I am so, so sorry for what you are experiencing. I had to go without anti-anxiety meds for a week. I only just got a prescription refill Saturday. It IS a miserable situation. I get those very same symptoms. It's difficult to get others to understand how distressing it can be. I've even been told that when I get ' nervous ', I should just clean house. "NERVOUS!?". If only that's all it were. HA! I know you are scared. And it doesn't matter at all whether there is something to be scared about or not. You are experiencing fear caused by an anxiety disorder. Just focus on comforting yourself so you can get through this. There are a few things you could try but I cannot promise they will work for you. You could try 'swaddling'; wrapping yourself up snugly in a blanket so you feel secure (but not so tight you can't move, that might actually frighten you). It's hard to stay focused when you are panicking. Sometimes a 'comfort' movie helps me. I like certain Disney movies, even if I can't follow them completely

Cont.'d

I can't read when I'm anxious, my thoughts are flying around all over the place. But to help you get your thoughts focused, you might try coloring. I know it sounds silly, but choosing colors and filling in a space with it Sometimes help with focus and relaxation. Color books, mandalas, etc. Whatever you want to color.

I don't have anything concrete for you but maybe one of these thing will help. And you can always come here. Hold on, hold on. YouTube also has several relaxation videos.- guided meditation or just relaxation music.

Very good advice, and i appreciate coloring, it truely helps, and not alot of thought is required, or also painting, if you are prone to do art, relaxation music really helps me too. I am willing to try anything to relax, and these modalities really help thank you for these.Much love Debi
