Hi Wolfpack, I know all so well the anxiety from being abused as a child. Having panic attacks as a CHILD!!! I spent many years drowning my feelings with alcohol, gambling and drug. Anything so I didn't feel. Ive been in recovery for 10 years and it has helped me so much. Therapy also helped. It took me awhile to find one that I was happy with. When I saw her, she helped me see things from a different perspective. Letting me know that it wasn't my fault. Validating my feelings. She helped me get bck part of my life.

I do think that counseling would be helpful. Especailly with all you have been through and are going through now. I also have fibro. I was told that it might have stemmed from the abuse. Just one more life long after affect of abuse!! Sometimes I wonder if it will ever end. The things that come up because of the abuse. Can you get your neices out of there? They don't deserve to live with them after what they did to you. I'd try to get them some help.

I hope that you are doing well. If you ever need to talk, please let me know.

Your Friend, Chris

I see a "therapist" once a month for no co-pay. My co-pay here is $50 a session for any qualified therapist and I don't even have $5. I'm so drowned in bills I don't know what to do and my husband's truck just broke down, and when he went to fix it he found 5 more major problems. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE MONEY FOR GAS!!!!!!!!! We're trying to save the little money we have left from SSD each month for food. We get food from a church, but it's garbage and only lasts maybe a week if we're lucky. I've tried the free counselors and sliding scale counselors and none of them know about my anxiety problem enough to help. Actually, they've all hurt more than helped. I've been in the system for 24 years and no therapist that I could afford has ever been able to help me. The only reason I stay with the one I'm with now is as a bandaid, but she doesn't even return my emergency phone calls.

Frustrated,

Wolfpack

Hi wolfpack,

I'm sorry that you are having such a difficult time. Money troubles will bring on anxiety and stress. I wish there was more I could do for you.

There is a government program that will loan you up to 2500.00 for car repairs. They will work out a payment that will fit any budget. (This is just a suggestion).

With you being on SSI, is there more help with food that you qualify for? I think that some programs help with food stamps or something like it.

I'm sorry that counseling hasn't worked for you. It is different for everyone. I don't understand why the co payment is so high. I hope that you can find away to get the help you deserve. You have got alot of different things going on.

I hope that you feel better soon. If there is anything I can do, you can PM me anytime. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Your Friend, Chris

Hi Wolfpack,

I'm very sorry to hear you are having so many difficulties at one time!!! I hate to hear that therapy hasn't worked out for you I am on SSD also and all of my mental health treatment is 100% paid for. Maybe a different state - I don't know, but I would double check because you shouldn't have to pay (or very little) if you are receiving benefits. I feel the same way you do about the gas prices, it is horrific We are to the point to where we are doing all of our errands scheduled around one trip -LOL!

I agree with Chris on checking about getting some assistance with food stamps, anything helps these days. I hope you had a good 4th and I hope things start to work out for you. Take care

Wow, your anxiety situation sounds so simililar to mine. My husband thinks the same way yours does. You're not alone and I guess I'm not either. I'm on 2 1/2 mg of Xanax prn, 200mg of Neurontin, 60mg of Cymbalta, 200m of Zoloft, 200mg of Trazadone for sleep and 5mg of Ambien for sleep also.

Do you have any children?

I want to know that I'm not alone either!
