Journal Entry 1

Well I erupted since that first message.

Here is what happened

My son who is 4 years old did not wear a pull up to bed and was getting ready to give him breakfast and say grace before we ate and watched our Abeka Bible DVD preschool video, ironically.

Well I started to smell an unpleasant odor of urine. So I instantly got mad. ANd began yelling and he began to cry as I took of his pj's and underware. I said how can you be such an idot, why would you do that? you know you are supposed to wear a pull up to bed. I continued to rant all the way up the stairs to his room and changed the sheet on his toddler bed. I then cried in his room. And said I was sorry and I was wrong for yelling at him that way and asked him to forgive me and he of course said yes and I hugged him and kissed him.

Thanks for letting me write about this. Please pray that I can go an hour without an explosion, while I was writing this my 7 year old did not finish her 2nd bowl of cereal filled with milk and I started to say don't put that much milk in your bolw next time, but as I was two words into it I realized I poured the milk!! Praise God that I held my tongue. Pray for me that His Holy Spirit will guide me to hold my tongue as often as needed today.

Well I definently need to go before something happens. I do home school and I think sometimes having 3 young chilren home all day can add to my stress and anger, but I just keep working at it each day.

Love, Carolyn

I know for me, MY unrelated, unexpressed, and secret expectations were and are the root cause of my anger outbursts... I have to remember that the world that I live in isn't MINE and nobody can read my mind and basically don't want to... THEY all have enough shit to deal with on their own... Sooooooo..... there in lies the rub... my way or else, and they don't have a clue what my way is...rofl.... keep the dialog going Carolyn... it helps...

Take care and to use a AA idom: Think, think, tink.... lol (misspell on purpose...)

I am who I am, but I am trying to get better.

Hi Glenn,

I was just reading you profile. It looks like you have had your share of trials. Medically I am a mess and I am only 34. But I know that God uses us where we are. Sometimes I just have trouble figuring it out especially when I struggle with anger.

I took a nap today. Praise God so I did not get angry with my son. Actually I had a nice morning after I sent my last posting.

Have a nice evening and take care of yourself.

Sincerely, Carolyn

Very comical Glenn. Thanks for making me smile. How are you today? How is your anger? Do you still struggle? I guess it is a life long battle.

My husband is home today so that is a pleasant treat. Although sometimes my anger can flare up because we have to learn how to get along and communicate. It is the same on the weekends. Although Sunday we go to church, but after church it can be hard to get along and on the way there. Often we both have different agendas. Today has been nice, he even said I know we often fight on these days when I am home, but I am going to do my best to avoid that. And about a half hour later I also said the same thing because it is also me who is responsible for the fighting too! A memory verse I have been working on is Proverbs 29:11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back. It truly speaks to my heart, but that is how God works. Anyway have a blessed weekend. Hope you don't have any major anger flare ups. I will say a prayer for you after I send this e-mail. Thanks for letting me share.

With gratitude,

Carolyn

Yeah, communications.... ain't that a cuss word or something? That is one of my problems because I don't really TALK, especially about me... even to my long suffering wife... she is an angel... I hope you have a great Easter, Glenn
