Hi everyone,

I'm new to this, but am in desperate need of some help.

I have been going through so much lately, and I feel like I'm on the edge of losing everything.

My mother fell deathly ill after many medical issues in Feb of this year, and I decided to take the semester off from school (college) to help take care of her.

Fortunately my mother is healing now, and is no longer in a grave condition. However, because of everything that happened, we lost our home and had to move in my grandmother's house.

Now most outsiders think, oh how pleasant, but it's quite the opposite. I truly believe that my grandmother has bipolar disorder and is quite abusive.

I have held my tongue after multiple incidents with her, but am watching myself slip away into someone I no longer know.

I find that I cannot get out of bed in the morning, and I just lay in my bed all day, hoping to find an answer there.

I no longer take joy in doing the things that used to make me happiest, and find myself often wondering how much better everyone else would be without me.

I find myself losing my temper with everyone and everything. I have already had the police called on me because my anger has gotten out of control.

I am not sure what to do and am reaching out on here to try and find some sort of answer.

Thanks in advance everyone Smile

I am so sorry that all of this is happening! Your stuck between a rock and a hard place, at the moment! Some people push you into a corner, knowing just what boundries to cross, what buttons to push to shove you right over the edge! The terrible thing is, they know exactly what their doing!

I don't know what kind of finanial situation you are in, what part of the country you live in, or what resources are available in your community, but Honey, my best advice is, Find Somewhere else to live! Look online for HUD housing, Section 8, ousing Authority programs, low income programs, reach out to community churches, and keep comming here!

I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond to your post, my computer has been having alot of problems and I haven't been able to get online...You don't seem to be an angr person, just a desparate one! You must tho contnrol your reactions to the buttons your grandmother is pushing! She has years of experience and knows just what to do and say to make it all your fault!

Hang in there! Look for options! Somewhere out there, there is something for you! You just cannot stop looking!

Thank you so much for your words! I have honestly tried everything I can think of & everywhere I turn is a dead-end. I am told that I am not "poor" enough to qualify for help, its just an impossible situation. I am doing my best right now to get out of here by the 1st to avoid another situation that results in the police coming here. Thank you so much, please, keep your fingers crossed for me Smile

Honey, don't give up! Keep looking, keep asking, keep seeking resources, there will be something! It may take some time, that is where aptients, persistance, and tenacity will in the long run pay off!

I am praying for you! Keep comming to the groups here! Share your struggle with others! You will be amazed at who many have either been thre or are there now too! Some sugjestions and advice may not work today, but hold on to them, because they may help down the road a little way!

BIG HUG!

Reba

I've been struggling a bit too lately! I'm trying to find a different living situation, I've looked for a long time, and there was just nothing! All of a sudden, things have taken a turn and someone from the past has reached out to me for help, that in the end is going to help me too! I may soon be moving to another city...a new beginning, independance, life....
