MDJunction to me

jackie1979"MDJ is like a family to me where I can talk to others who understand how I feel. I can as group leader help others and support them and be there
for each other for the good and bad times. MDJ has helped me come to terms with my disability and be able to live my life and be positive. I just hope that I can be there for others like my friends on MDJ have been here for me.

So today I went in for my first infusion it took 6 hrs instead of the 3-4 and after being poked a few times by the nurse .Tears just rolled down my cheeks. I was so embarrassed because I was in a room full of cancer patience who have lost thier hair and getting chemo. I was so lost for words when the girl next to me receiving chemo asked what kind of cancer I had. I could not answer because I was so overwhelmed. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't cry but I have been under the stress of trying to get pregnant and my anemia that has totally drained me. I still feel horrible being so week and crying when the people around me smile and are going through much more.

Ah - you poor thing!! It's ok to cry! I'm sure every cancer patient has. Anemia is a very weird/odd thing. Of course it's not cancer - but it is its own journey and you should not discount yours! It's normal to be irritable - a classic symptom of anemia - and also fuzzy-brained - that happens too - we're all so used to being highly productive members of society and anemia changes that drastically! You're normal! It's ok! I hope you're feeling better. Eyes on the prize - there is a happy end to this road.

"By knowing our darkness we fully receive and draw upon His strength. By nature, we so often want to be able to stand in our own resolution and commitments to the Lord. Yet God is committed to revealing the weakness of our flesh to us. He wants us to have a leaning heart at the end of the journey. He desires that we would not find our confidence in our commitment to Him but in His commitment to us."

Great answer, Cbelle. Smile What she says is so true. Hang in there, you'll feel better soon.

for all the wisdom and happy thoughts.

it would be nice to hear more stories and experiences

from people. since i am anemic again due to my own ignorance

and waiting for the doctors to tell me instead of paying attention

to the way i felt. dizzy! terrible.
