You might be able to carry liquid antihistamine instead of an epi, and premedicate with it before events to reduce the severity of any reaction. Turns out to be cephalosporins I am allergic to. Penicillin seems OK. I was wondering..... was the drug you took taken orally? I know what caused it, as i am sure the surgeon used betadine to scrub my back,i heard him ask for betadine, and i am allergic to iodine, IVP dye, and any contrast. He is blaming the patch, which was tegaderm, I was never allergic to any tape,patch or gauze previously. The Cure is to know what you are allergic to and avoid it.
