Or a meeting. Be around fellow struggling alcoholics. We need each other. Big Book, steps aside, we all need to feel a part of other, not apart from others. Loneliness is a terrible afflication, alcohol the easiest medication--a deadly comination. Namaste

wow, some tough stuff...I know my best friend in AA has bi-polar and I see what she goes through. Like a roller-coaster. I'm happy u got rid of the alcohol...it's too high maintenence anyways, right? Take a nap and sleep it off....then like I said get out of the house...you'll feel better.

Oh, Star, I hear and feel your pain. "I have bipolar and I crashed down real bad earlier and I was abandoned by my only friend so am left all alone when I need the company of others." I have been there. I really have. I am so sorry I wasn't here for you earlier. I must have gotten off line right before you got on. Do you have any one you can call when you get the urge to drink? It helps me so much to talk things out. Or if I can't talk them out I write them out. That helps me a lot. I'm glad you made a new start.

Hey star. I understand how you feel. Just yesterday I was so lonely and sad and depressed and ready to pick up a bottle I went to an AA meeting. Then someone in my online smart recovery group sent me a private message to ask how I was doing and tell me it was ok If I had gave in to my cravings from the previous night. I ended up talking to her last night back and forth through email she helped me sort through some stuff. The group is called smart recovery it is an online group but you can find groups in your area to go to meetings too. Also wanted to let you know feel free to pm me anytime you need someone to talk to. Hang in there
