MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." I had my first drink and drunk when I was 8. My dad was an alcoholic and would give me "hot toddies"(whisky, lemon, honey) when we would get a cold. I remember asking for more and more till I got drunk. He thought it was funny.
You are not drunk unless you have to hang on while lying on the floor.

My mom put vodka in our baby bottles to make us sleep all night. Does that count?

I'm an Advocate

My Mother used to put beer in my baby bottle to get me to go to sleep when ever she didn't want to really take care of me. I remember her doing this and she thought it was funny. I intentionally started drinking when I was about 4 or 5 years old. Living in an alcoholic home, it was always available to me and they never seemed to miss it, or they just didn't care or maybe they were so drunk they didn't notice. I really started drinking heavily when I was about 15, partying with friends who had stolen booze from their own home. I drank quite heavily until I was 38 and then I had to get myself some help. I chose AA as my way to recovery and now I am 60 and I still go to my AA meetings and probably always will because I need to have friends of a like mind; no drinking ever.

I had my first drink like most, as a toddler. It was whiskey and my dad would put it in my milk to get me to sleep (This made my family furious.) I first intentionally started drinking around 12 or 13, it started with the spiked punch at Christmas parties and evolved into elegant blue prints of plans to steal carts full of bacardi and grey goose. Oh boy, haha.

My parents luckily never added alcohol to anything lol. I had my first drink either @ 14 or 15 just out of curiosity. I would say I started seeking out alcohol around 17-18.

I was 8 or 9 when I had my first taste of Budweiser after hard football practices out in the heat. I drank on purpose when I was 12 and took breaks.
