Well done!!!! i reckon the first 2weeks are the hardest and you cracked it! Get ready for a rollercoaster ride though. You will get anxious you will get depressed and if youre anything like me very angry. You need to find a support group and fast.AA is what you need because this is an illness you cant fight alone. If you try to do it on youre own there is a high chance youll relapse. If you do dont despair just start all aver again and get help to do it . Proud of you as i said you should be so proud of yourself coz the first step to not take a drink goes against everything we no!! xxxx

Congratulations on your initial stage of sobriety! Better times lie ahead for you. As was pointed out, there will be bumps along the way, but it will get better. If you go to AA you will learn a new way of living that really helps with staying sober and will have that face to face support you will need to help you stay away from the bottle. We are here for you as you face the future without alcohol, but AA will give you the local support, so I encourage you to go to a meeting.

Keep up the good work! You will find the efforts you expend now well worth it.

With God, all things are possible

That's great. Yes, go to meetings. Find one you like, that really "clicks" for you. Maybe a woman's meeting? But you know, sometimes those men keep things really simple. Try them out and stay in your day. Just for today you don't have to drink. And remember that revolting hangover morning when you regretted everything, or didn't remember everything, or had to scramble to make things right? You NEVER have to feel that way again! Isn't that Great?

Congrats, misshatchet. You're doing great. Keep it up one day at a time, and you never have to drink again. Good luck.
