MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

How To Copy and Paste

1. Highlight the area that you want to copy by left clicking your mouse and holding it down.

2. Run the mouse over the questions from the last word to the first.

3. Release the left click and all the words should be blue.

4. Put your mouse in the blue area and right click.

5. Find the word “Copy” in the drop down menu and left click on it, one time.

6. Go to the reply box and left click at the beginning so the cursor begins blinking.

7. Right click your mouse and in the drop down menu find the word “Paste.”

8. Left click on “Paste” one time and WahLah!

____________________________________________________________ ____________

How To Save A Picture From A Website (like Google images)

1. When you find a picture (I will use Google images in this case)put your mouse pointer over the picture that you want to save. It will get a bit larger

2. right click your mouse once

3. choose 'save image as' and left click once

4. that will take you to your 'Documents Library'...if it takes you to 'Downloads'...find the Documents tab and right click once

5. The 'file name' area will be highlighted so that you can name your file (do something easy like "a" or "cat" so that you can find it.)

6. Right click save

7. As long as the file is under 500x500, it should work

____________________________________________________________ ____________

How To Post A Picture

1.Instead of posting in the white box click on the little green “reply” box.

2.This will bring up a whole new posting section.

3.Write your post in the large white box as usual if you have text

4.To add a picture go down a bit to where it says “add image”

5.Click on the browse tab to bring up your saved pictures in your computer

6.Find the picture you want and left click on it one time

7.Then click open, this will transfer the picture to the space next to “add image”

8.Now you MUST click “add” and the picture is transferred to the posting box in the form of “img”

9.If you see that you have successfully loaded the picture to the post

10.CAUTION! The picture can be no larger than 500pix X 500pix or 100kb

You can see how big it is by laying your mouse on the picture as it sits in “your pictures” on your computer.

How to resize a picture!

Go to this website and follow the instructions

http://www.picresize.com/

or

http://images.my-addr.com/

OR do this:

This has nothing to do with MDJ. It all happens on your computer.

1. Pull up your pictures and select one you want to resize.

2. RIGHT click on it, one time. You should see a menu pop up.

3. Look for the words “open with”. Put your cursor on those words and a slide out menu will appear.

4. Look for the word “paint” and then LEFT click on that.

This will put the picture in a screen where you can change things.

5. At the top you should see a toolbar. Look for “image”. Left click on that.

That drops a menu down

6. Look for resize/skew. Left click on that.

Now you should see a little screen with horizontal 100 and vertical 100. You need to lower those numbers to anything lower than 100.

7. I usually put 70 in each box. If it still seems big lower the numbers again (they will be 100 again the second time) do this until it looks like it will fit on a post.

8. When you close the paint screen you will be asked to save the picture, click on "save", the picture will be saved to the new size.

Whew! Now go back and add it to your post. Got it! Once you learn you will have a blast saving pics off the net and posting them, so don’t give up!!!

This is thanks to silverguy, a group leader in the agoraphobia group. Thank you silver you are the best at explaining things!

How To Post A Link

*this is important if you are using information from other websites.

Whenever you need to post a link:

There are some bubble buttons below your message box (where you type your response). Hover your mouse pointer over each one will show what each one does.

The last bubble is URL.

Give it a try in your original post.

1. Highlight the whole web address

2. Then click the URL button.

OR

1. Go to the toolbar

2. Right Click once

3. Choose 'Copy' by left clicking

4. Go to post box

5. Right click in post box

6. Left click 'Paste'

How To Add a Playlist to Your Profile

1.Go to playlist.com and sign up, it is free and easy to do.

2.At the top of the page click on “Create a Playlist”

3.This will bring up a page where you need to name your playlist. Do that and hit the blue box that says Create Playlist

4.Next comes the fun part, type in the search box the band or song title you would like to add to your playlist. Find your favs and add as many as you want!

5.When you are done go up to the top of the page and click on “Share My Playlist”, then click on the title you chose earlier to get the code.

6.The next screen is Player Configuration and you probably want to say YES to Autostart and Random Shuffle, and NO to Custom Skin. Then choose the color you want and click GET CODE.

7.This brings up a page called Post My Playlist and you will see 30 icons of different web pages, below the icons is your code and it says Embed Code right above it. A little to the right, in a small box it says copy, just click on it on your playlist code is saved.

8.Now go to your profile and find “Edit” and click on it.

9.It will open up to the “About Me” section where you may have written something already about yourself. Scroll down the about me box and have your cursor flashing below the text you wrote about yourself. Now RIGHT CLICK one time and find the word PASTE. Left click on paste and your playlist is inserted.

10.Find the orange box that says Update and click on it. You are done! Now go and check out your hard work and enjoy the tunes!

Thank you to TexasYankee (Angela) for her awesome instructions!

These are all so great for everyone to know. For as long as I've been a member I never knew how to put on a playlist. Sure I could have figured it out but with instructions this clear it couldn't be easier. Thank you for sharing.
