Too many to count, but right off the bat, I'd say my dad. He got dealt a hard hand in life what with blindness and a neuro-degenerative disease, but none of it stopped him from having a family, a successful business, friends, travelling and enjoying life as much as possible.

This is a nice thread.. Smile ( sorry I've been missing btw..... the tornadoes and storms took out power, internet and cable all around our area since Friday evening, I just got internet back within the past hour...woooohoooo Smile I've been peeking in from my phone, but it's just too hard to post much that way)

anyway.....

who inspires me??? This could be a long list.... and I hate to name names because so many people have had such an impact on my life and I would hate to leave anyone out.

I'd have to say my mom inpsires me believe it or not. Our relationship is strained to say the least, but she has shown me how to be a strong woman in spite of what life throws at us.

My Dad for being the amazingly caring, thoughtful man he is, and for always being available for whatever I need without a complaint.... and for loving me even though I am flawed.

My kids for making me feel like I am the best mom and one of their best friends even though I'm sure dealing with my limitations wasn't easy for them. They have turned out to be amazing young adults and I couldn't be more proud Smile

My bff Jan, for just being herself Smile She is the most patient person I think I have ever met. An incredible woman of faith who has taught me so much, gotten me through some of the worst times of my life, prayed for me endlessly, and accepted me even knowing all of my darkest secrets.

Angel for understanding me, accepting me just the way I am, and being so supportive and kind and helping me through some really rough times !!!

Jenn, for being such a great friend and always making me see things in a more positive way Smile

Mimi, for being encouraging when I needed it in the past and helping to cheer my up when I'm down.

Clare, for being a great friend to me and always keeping it real Smile

Neil, for accepting me, caring about me, understanding me, and putting up with me.... and for having the best sense of humor and always making me laugh and smile Smile

And so many others here.... I could go on forever. So many of you have impacted me with the ways you deal with life, and your courage to get out there and face fears each day Smile So a huge heartfelt thank you Smile

Who inspires me.

God,

This one does not need explanation.

My bf,

He's the sweetest man I've ever met. He does everything to make me happy. He makes me want to be a better me.

Salvador Dali,

An awkwardly brilliant man of his time. He has some of the most beautiful/messed up art work I've ever seen.

Jim Morrison,

Even though this man was messed in the head due to drugs there was still a lot of good to take from him. He has a way with words and apparently still roams his grave.

Miley Cyrus,

She worked hard to achieve all she has today, unlike popular belief it wasn't handed to her. She's been visiting sick kids in hospitals since before she was famous and now donates some of her time and money to help sick children. She is involved with so many charities, openly supports the NOH8 campaign, has been over to haiti (more than once) to share her passion with hearing impaired kids by fitting them with hearing aids. She's young and despite all of her negative media she truly cares and she has the courage to live a full life without letting her fear stop her.

To be kind and understanding and patient.

He brings out all the good in me.
