Well, I was going to post a photo of my tree until I noticed that part of it was dark. Now I have to scrounge for a replacement bulb.

Photo to be shown at a later date.

I want to see the Christmas tree. I am slow this year putting ours up but this weekend we will do it. I was going to get the tree out yesterday but I could barely move from the four hours of shoveling snow from the day before. I'm feeling better today but it is still so cold out. -10 degree and -20 with wind chill. I'm going to south.. Like Australia south.

It is cold here too today, and it snowed a bit more overnight. Just don't feel like getting out at all. I am going to Australia with you Kody...

Here is my tree. This one is in the living room, I usually put up a big one in the family room, but I am so lazy it is unreal. Come on Lisa, get those lights going and post!

That is a beautiful tree. I'm lucky to get one tree up. I can't imagine putting up two trees.

Serves you right for hoarding all of the snow, Kody. LOL Now I know why we don't have any here. Sorry to hear you're so sore, though. We had a cold and windy day yesterday. Wind chill was in the teens most of the day.

Yes, my poor tree is suffering from lack of light in the middle. Or actually just LESS light. I didn't notice it until I took the picture and when I uploaded it from my camera, it was REALLY noticeable so I started looking and did find a a strand that isn't lit (I have 8 strands on there). So I I'll probably just do some adjusting of the other strands today. I'm just a few days late in putting mine up. I meant to have it up last Saturday .

I should have the pictures on here later this evening.

I love that tree, Anna. I need to get a new tree topper this year. The Angel I've had for years that one of our little elderly patients made for me finally got crushed when my son or husband put something heavy on top of the box it was stored in inside our garage. I was heartbroken because it had such sentimental value. But I still have the wreath she made for me. She was very much into crafts. Such a dear, sweet lady.

I put my tree up the weekend right after Thanksgiving and I had your problem Chica I had one strand that did not work even though I tested all of the lights befor I put them on the tree. I too will try to get a picture of mine up today. I am also doing good on my gift buying I only have 2 more people to buy for so I home to get thouse gifts ordered by the end of the week. Its 27 here in the south this morning.

Thank you Kody. I just noticed my star is a little crooked....just like me lol. I have no idea whether I will put up the other one or not.

Lisa, there is nothing more frustrating than lights dying, especially after you have it all decorated. My Christmas spirit goes right out the window when I spend hours searching for a missing bulb or trying to fish out a burned out strand. OMG, just thinking about it makes me sweat....

I tested my lights before putting them on as well so I can only assume that jarring them or maybe clanging them around broke the filaments in one of the bulbs.

I still have a little shopping to do but mostly small gifts, except for my husband's. No clue what I'm getting him quite yet. Guess I had better decide soon. But my husband still needs to do all of his shopping. I usually make him do the shopping for all of his family but I took care of his mom and sister this year since theirs could only be found online.

And as for the tree, I usually have to move my large leather chair into my bedroom when I put our tree in the living room so this year I decided not to put myself through the hassle and just put my tree in the outer corner of my dining room, just off my living room so you can still see it whether you enter from the front door or from the French doors off the sun room.
