MDJunction to me

jaguarandcubs"MDJ is an integral part of my everyday life. Since joining in 2010, I have met so many amazing people. It is truly incredible to be able to share good times and not so good times with others who face the same health challenges. And MDJ has support groups for every condition I have. I don't know of anywhere else that can offer that. I love that I can learn from others as well as offer my own experiences for others to learn from." (jaguarandcubs)

I think that CBT is just one part of the picture. I have not found the right therapist for me yet. I have been to around 6 different people in the past 10 years.

I think in order for CBT to really work you need to be ready to accept what they say with a grain of salt. No one knows you better than you do. The message they give is usually pretty much the same. The key is to find someone who can put those messages in a way that they will work for you. Keep going. Give it some time and consideration. I it's not working out move on to someone else.

Hiya Pumpkin! I just saw your introduction! I hope you are still coming around. There is so much hope, hon. Whether you are using CBT or meds or prayer or whatever you choose. This can and will get better. You just have to stick with it. Coming here has already made a difference for me. I have met some great people and gotten so much positive reinforcement. It has really helped motivate me and give me the courage to push myself.

Hope to see you around!

Pumpkin,

CBT is very important and using relaxation techniques, with visualization, and positive affirmations. Get some good books on how to start thinking positive, they really help reinforce. Most people who don't get better, give up too soon. We must keep at it until we are victorious!

Hi & welcome--

As everyone said-cbt is a good part of recovery-- a good therapist- medication-- whatever combination works. Keep trying. The other good thing is to share your ups & downs here..more ups Smile-- I hope you hang with us- we are a very positive group and that's one important ingrediant--

That's why everyone is stuck with me here-- I can or cannot do something- either way- they turn it into a positve-- never give up- bottom line-- I'v seen progress here in the last month or longer, it gives me hope--This will help you as well. Be kind to yourself & have a great daySmile

Kathy
