I just read the new members post and almost instantly started crying, finally people who understand 100%! I'm 21 and i've had agoraphobia for about 2 years. My mum suffered with it when she was younger, so in the beginning she was really good about it. She saw the signs and took me to the doctor (well, 'dragged' is probably a better word) and i was told that i had agoraphobia, anxiety (i guess generalised?) and depression. I went to the hospital to have a procedure done not long before that, where i wasn't allowed to eat for almost 24 hours and couldn't drink for about 12. Long story short, i was so dehydrated that i almost fainted. Oh, but i didn't.. i had a panic attack instead. My first ever panic attack and behold, the beginning of this craziness that is still with me 2 long years later. I'm not sure what else i'm meant to tell you guys, i guess thank you for being here and i'm glad we can relate to each other, i look forward to getting to know you guys and fighting through this bitch together (:
