Hello. My name is Marjorie. I'm obviously new here. I hope I don't make a dang fool of myself. I have Agoraphobia, Panic, and Anxiety. Lately I've been living like a hermit. I have friends, but I don't want to go anywhere or do much of anything.

Relatives and/or friends help me with things like shopping. I have sort of a short "safe zone" as to how far I can travel without having a panic attack.

I have sought professional help and the "pro" seems to be very nice and concerned. He told me that it's going to take time, and that there will be setbacks, but that they are temporary, and to be patient. I'll try.

I'm looking forward to hopefully meet some new people.

Marjorie

Hi Marjorie, welcome to the group. Not to worry about making a fool of yourself. I think we all fear that but here we all understand what it is like. It won't be long and you will have many new friends.

Welcome to the group Marjorie. You will fit in fine here, we have a bit of a goofy side too so I doubt you would make a fool of yourself. Smile

Welcome to the Agor Group Marjorie! Smile Glad you joined us. Your "pro" is right. Start by taking baby steps and you will start progressing before you know it. Smile

Welcome to the group Marjorie . It does take time and progress can seem slow, but it can be done Smile.

I understand you having a small safety zone that you can travel in. I deal with that too. But my area has grown slowly with time.

Glad you joined the group Smile

Hi Marjorie, your counsellor is, in my experience, absolutely right and sounds like just the right person to be helping you Smile

Cheers

She said I've lost control again."
