I want to start this thread so we can all write down our experiences on how we push through panic!

I'll Start:

Breathing

( In through my nose and slowly out of my mouth)

Walking Around

I try to keep myself REALLY busy before I know I am leaving the house.

POSTIVE THOUGHTS

NO more WHAT IFS

I know I hate the what ifs!!!! I battle with those all the time!!! I do try and breathe...i usually call someone or do whatever I can to distract myself from anything that makes me anxious..sometimes I just repeat "relax" over and over again or sometimes Ill focus on a certain object..anything to distract myself. If I have to go in a car soewhere..i like to think about the time it takes..like if its 10 min...and im feeling anxious about those ten min it takes to get somewhere..i try and tell myself all about all the things I can do in ten min..and then it doesnt feel so bad..it turns out to be that ten min is not that long

I say 'okay' repeatedly when i get really nervous. It started when I gave birth to my first son. When I went into labor, I just kept saying 'okay' through the pain. Now I say 'okay' through the fear...wierd.

I focus on getting home. I think in my head of the drive back home. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have literally sat in the car in the garage for two hours crying and walked back in the house and told my husband I just couldn't do it.

Those are about the only two things I do to keep from losing it.
