when they say things that to them may not seem hurtful but to you they do because it has to do with something you're not comfortable doing so you hesitate doing that even if it has to do with working on your skills to feel free again....how do you deal with people who think you should/can do more when you're feeling scared to?

Most of the time I am able to express to them that I am not comfortable with whatever the subject may be.. if they can't understand that then I distance myself from them. I can't be around people who make me uncomfortable. Even though it probably would be good for me for someone to push me...

I distance myself from people like that. I put enough stress and pressure on myself to be "normal" and just can't handle getting it from outside influences as well.

I live with my husband who is a very frustrated person( he had an injury at work and can no longer work, so he is depressed and frustrated), and this just contributes to my anxiety and he is my safe person.I have no family to go to and no close friends that are in a condition to help me( they have their own problems), so I am stuck. I walk away from him and let him sulk usually. It is hard. Cheryl V.

TennisP... It's hard isn't it? Be strong, say what you feel, and communicate. It's all you can do. There are those who push you in life and those who enable you to not push yourself. Take what you need from both when you need it... ignore the rest best you can.

Reminds me of that saying they had.. Talk to the hand...

If you want to know where your heart is... look to where your mind wanders.
