Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Nancy. Sad I've never dealt with migraines before so I don't know first hand how bad they are but a few people I know have dealt with them and they seem awful. Sad Have you every tried to get a professional massage to help relieve tension? I hope things get better for you! Smile

Good morning all,

David if your cat is peeing around the house it might have UTI( female cats especially get this a lot).

I think I am allergic to Valerian root( it is a herb to help with anxiety), I have taken it twice and both times I feel awful, my throat feels like it getting smaller and I just don't feel right, so no more Valerian root for me.

Today I get to see a new psychiatrist at 1 pm. I hate going out in the afternoons, but this was the only time open for 3 weeks, and I needed it. I am super nervous about going in the car even though it is only a 7 minute drive from my house. My sister sent me xanax for such times , so I am going to take one, it only takes the edge off the panic a little bit. I am going to rest this morning, no walking, just relax in bed and try not to be nervous. Tomorrow I will walk again. I will face the panic, because I must do this. Have a great day all. Cheryl

Morning everyone.

Too early here.

Our kids get up at 6 am to get ready for school.

The bus comes about 6:50 for the first wave of elementary students.

Then middle school bus comes about an hour later.

Basically same bus just drops little kids off first and then comes back for the older ones.

It's 34 degrees here again.

So much for that 80 degree weather we had several weeks ago.

I don't know when it will warm up again.

Well much sympathy to you David with the cat potty problems.

That does sound like quite a mess you have there.

I don't know what it is with animals in general and this lack of discretion they have about soiling.

Our cat does the same thing peeing everywhere and it stinks to high heaven.

Needless to say our cat did not make the move with us because i was not going to have it stinking up our new home.

My husband hangs onto it and goes to extreme length to try to compensate for it.

He has bought wee pads and placed them all over the basement.

He has automatic air fresheners that are quite large with motion sensors.

What this does is let out both a hissing sound and odor if the cat gets near it.

So he tried to place these all around the house in areas to try to deter the pissing.

If we would ever have a mess on the bed. My husbands solution is he throws it all out the back door and there it sits on the back porch I guess waiting for magical fairies to come and clean our linens. I've never really been sure how throwing it out the back door accomplishes anything.

I would probably get rid of the cat and wonder if that is why it was in the shelter to begin with.

It is very difficult to have an animal that shows no signs of discretion with urine especially when it comes to that stinky cat urine,

I watched a program about a cat specialist that you can call in.

He used a black light to locate the cat urine.

It shows up flourescent green.

In many of the homes it was everywhere!

He claims it's because the cat is unhappy and needs to feel king of his domain.

He instructs people to make their cat happy by building it aparatus it can climb up to get up high and feel dominant I guess?

This seems backwards to me but whatever works.

I'd say it's my home and the cat wee and poo is unsanitary and confine the animal but things are not that easy are they.

It's just a real problem since they do need to roam free and we share space.

We have no solution for our cat.

The shelters are full and not taking any more cats especially so he lives at the cottage alone and my husband goes to

feed him about every day.

Our cat has a kitty door into the basement so he can use the litter box.

He won't use the box though he pees all over the basement instead.

I think I probably just need a break from animals.

I don't have the patience or energy for them.

I do love animals but you never know when you get one what problems you will be facing.

And it can be very costly, very nerve wracking, very time consuming and generally stressful to deal with all the issues that accompany them.

It's good that there are people that care and are willing to take the time and make sacrifices to do this but maybe in our very fast paced society that is why so many animals are in shelters. I don't know?
