MDJunction to me

nvrsubtle"Not having any local Bipolar support groups where I live, MDJuntion has given me a place in which people understand what I am going through and has given me a new outlook on life with support that is real and good. Without
the support that I receive from MDJunction, I would be wandering through
life with no one who understands me. I owe so much to MDJunction for giving
me a life line to help get me through the toughest times.

Im so happy to have had a wonderful vacation with the kids. I took my books a lots of motivation. I rode space mountain by myself and an agoraphobics worst nightmare the monorail got stuck, but no panic. The lines at the rides not fun but made it. The hotel stay was going great but on the second day I had this huge urge to go home. Didn't fall asleep until three in the morning but stayed. Now I'm home all alone and for the first time in my life enjoying it. Please read Adult children of alcoholics and co-dependent no more. I had been living in denial my whole life about my childhood. I guess that's why I became a control freak. I have been confronting my fears for a year now and no setbacks however I do take aleve for pain because the pain that comes up while facing my fears is very intense. I believe is the pain that has been buried my whole life. Anxiety= denial of feelings, they start coming up and you panic rather than feel them. Acoa teaches you to feel the pain from the past but remaining in the present so don't panic. Cheerful

Congrats on the trip. I went to Disney about 5 years ago. I had so much fun. Sounds like you did too!

So glad you had a great vacation. I love Disneyworld. Used to live in Zephyrhills, Fl. about an hr. away from Disney and used to take the kids there often. Really miss FL.

After a bad 1st marriage I read Codependent No More by Melody Beattie. It did help me open my eyes to how I was lived/living my life. It helped me figure out what I wanted in life and in a spouse. I'm whats called a "caregiver/a fixer". Growing up with alcoholic parents taking care of them more then they took care of me. Marrying an drug/alcoholic/abusive husband, thought I could fix him. I'm in a much better place now with my life/relationship with my now husband of going on 15yrs. It is a good book might want to read it again. It's been more than 20yrs since I read it.

That is so fabulous! I haven't been able to vacation in 4 years now. That is great that you were able to get out and enjoy yourself.

congrats for you. It is so great that you had a wonderful time. Talk about a place that I would be afraid of going to. With so many people around, I would be a basket case. My hat is off to you.
Staying clean is like staying alive.
You either are, or you aren't.

I've got a full six-pack...I'm just missing the plastic thingie that holds it all together!

I'm a few tacos short of a combo meal.

I'm not a complete idiot...some parts are missing!

I'm not weird. My normal is just different than your normal.
