Do any of you guys ever get pain in the center of your chest from indigestion or heartburn? I think my agoraphobia is leading to this. I panicked pretty badly yesterday when attempting an outing. I came home....went for a walk with my son and drank a bunch of water. I then started hurting in my chest. It was in the center behind my sternum area and I began "tasting" my taco salad from earlier. I wonder if my panic attack and fast fast drinking water let to this. Any idea? Anyone else have this ever happen to them? It's quite scary. Thanks!

That happens when I swallow air. It hurts.
I desire to inspire before I expire.

Yep all the time.

I gotta be careful I don't fill up too full for this reason.

I feel best when I'm letting out big sailor belches but most of the time this doesn't happen. Wish I could drink something really bubbly.

Thank God Spring is here : )

I have chronic stomach problems (to put it politely), as do many agoraphobics. Perfectly normal. However, that shouldn't stop you from mentioning it to your doctor, just in case it's something more serious. But yes, anxiety can send our stomach through a loop, just as it does the rest of our body.

Thanks, guys! I am pretty certain I am always swallowing air. I have a problem breathing shallow...or fast...as do most agoraphobics.

I have acid reflux...sounds like that might be it...sometimes is only temporary. If it becomes an everyday occurrence, i would tell your Dr.
