People who yack your ear off on the phone, and don't really say much. Try to get off the phone and see what happens!

One longtime friend in particular drives me crazy along these lines. He just called and talked about the same things he always talks about: Sports, wrestling(!), and his favorite soap opera. He always talks about sports, wrestling, and his favorite soap opera.

I met him some years ago through a job I had, on the phone, he sounded like a nice guy, and he is actually, but nothing happened other than us becoming talking friends.

I only know a little bit about sports. I like football the best, but only NFL football. Not college or any other kind of pigskin. Just something about the NFL.

Baseball goes between the extremes of being either boring or brilliant, and rarely is the latter. I've gone to a few games, I met my above-mentioned friend there as a place to meet for the first time, and frankly, I could have used the ballpark to snooze in. STEEE-RRRIKE!!!

I know nothing about basketball or hockey or any other competition for that matter.

I know wrestling is entertainment, and not sport. I don't understand what the attraction is, yet I seem to know a lot of people who watch it. I just don't get it.

I won't put down soap opera fans, but I will say that I personally have not seen portions of any soap opera that did not insult my intelligence. I know it's just me. If they're to your liking, please continue to enjoy.

There are things to be said for a hermit's existence.
