MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

So, I was looking at how so many people have music on there profiles and I think it's a great idea. Music helps me so much, especially when it was really bad, and going to the computer and playing a song was the most I could do. I added a playlist to my profile too, but there is one song I wanted to share more publicly. This song hits me like no other. The words and the music are just perfect for how I'm feeling, and how I'm sure a lot of you feel a lot too. I almost feel like it was made for people just like us. By sharing this I can give the gift of how I feel when I hear this to others.

Mumford & Songs - The Cave http://youtu.be/3KkUeRPjc-Y

Lyrics:

It's empty in the valley of your heart

The sun, it rises slowly as you walk

Away from all the fears

And all the faults you've left behind

The harvest left no food for you to eat

You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see

But I have seen the same

I know the shame in your defeat

But I will hold on hope

And I won't let you choke

On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain

And I will change my ways

I'll know my name as it's called again

Because I have other things to fill my time

You take what is yours and I'll take mine

Now let me at the truth

Which will refresh my broken mind

So tie me to a post and block my ears

I can see widows and orphans through my tears

I know my call despite my faults

And despite my growing fears

But I will hold on hope

And I won't let you choke

On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain

And I will change my ways

I'll know my name as it's called again

So come out of your cave walking on your hands

And see the world hanging upside down

You can understand dependence

When you know the maker's land

So make your siren's call

And sing all you want

I will not hear what you have to say

Because I need freedom now

And I need to know how

To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope

And I won't let you choke

On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain

And I will change my ways

I'll know my name as it's called again

"This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor... Welcome and entertain them all. Treat eash guest honorably. The dark thought, the same, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond" - Rumi

"Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free." - Jim Morrison

great post, Spinlady. it's true, music does help. I know i listened and discovered lots of music (ones i've forgotten ) before I became agoraphobic and honestly, I think it was what kept me sane or a little more sane. it' hard to discover new music with anxiety clouds your thinking, so I'm slowly discovering new things lol

like this for example.

when she sings," I was meant to rise

Six feet above my bed "---that is what we can relate to!!!

here's a song Y La Bamba --Juniper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckFQ-7743Rc

down down down down down

down down down down down

My temple has been compromised

I was meant to rise

Six feet above my bed

I am a sea

(That feeds the wind)

I am the rain

(That trickles in)

I am the cause that is dangerous

This is our love

This is our love

My garments have been the sacrifice

To justify my laws (??)

Out of daily bread

I am a sea

(That feeds the wind)

I am the rain

(That trickles in)

I am the cause that is dangerous

This is our love

I am the earth

????

Don't look so concerned

???? what with what

You are the sound

of my beating heart

Was lost but now is found

This is our love

This is our love

Down down down down down

Down down down down down

This is our love

I'm so happy you got to listen to it Smile The first I heard of Mumford & Sons was actually at an Irish Pub I used to work at. They have some other good stuff too, like 'Little Lion Man'

And your song is awesome too. I really like the video. It's like she is being cleansed/healed, and then she has the freedom to fly wherever she wants Smile

Don't know much about your life.

Don't know much about your world, but

Don't want to be alone tonight,

On this planet they call earth.

You don't know about my past, and

I don't have a future figured out.

And maybe this is going too fast.

And maybe it's not meant to last,

But,

What do you say to taking chances,

What do you say to jumping off the edge?

Never knowing if there's solid ground below

Or a hand to hold, or hell to pay,

What do you say,

What do you say,

I just want to start again,

And maybe you could show me how to try,

And maybe you could take me in,

Somewhere underneath your skin?

And I had my heart beaten down,

But I always come back for more, yeah.

There's nothing like love to pull you up,

When you're laying down on the floor there.

So talk to me, talk to me,

Like lovers do.

Yeah walk with me, walk with me,

Like lovers do,

Like lovers do.

Don't know much about your life

And I don't know much about your world.
