MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." darn it, just woke to the realization I have to return a book I rented. I have to go to UPS. Feel sick.

GRRR, med change making me flighty so I can't have my comfy 2 hours to convince myself to go!

I hear you. I have to return a dress I bought online and I'm dreading the post office. Dreading having to walk from my parking spot to the office. Dreading waiting in line. And dreading acting normal while I'm dealing with the post person.

I can't find my packing tape, and I can't find my phone, and they can't come pick things up because then my apartment would be invisible anymore (figuratively, I'm not delusional, yet.) I live in an upper story rear apartment, and the post office has a hard enough time with my mail box. Anyplace that will not call from a cell phone when they deliver is inconvenient, and pick up is almost impossible. (though my downstairs much more visible neighbor would do it for me). Still, shipping is only free this way. crap....rambling. If I wasn't typing I'd be doing the finger counting thing.....ggggggrrrr, gonna go clean something.

If you want, let me know when you are going to go, and I'll go to my post office at the same time. That way you'll know you aren't the only one going through what you are going through. No rush though, whenever, just let me know. Just please give me a little bit of warning first. I need to talk myself into it a bit too.

The IT guy is coming around 1:30 (Central), so probably 2, but if he takes too long. Anything after 3 in this neighborhood is asking for bottlenecks and school children. Thank you for thinking of me. Even if you do not, it'll still feel like someone is with me. Just knowing someone is out there who is willing to be nuts with me is wonderful.

Good luck to you both. Remember, deep breaths, shoulders down and the fact that we always survive! Try not to feed the fear by trying to figure out all that could happen. One step at a time.

Mel and Spinlady...I hope you both do okay with your post office tasks. I hate going to the post office - I only do it when absolutely necessary.

Good luck to the both of you. Please post how you did. And remember, you won't die from the exposure - it will feel like it, but you won't Wink

Oh, our time difference may prevent us from going at the exact same time. I think my post office will be closed by the time you are ready to go. My friend offered to go with me tomorrow, which would make my life so much easier, but I want to try to do it on my own. I'll let you guys know when I leave and return and how it goes. My hands are already sweaty staring to think about it lol.

I'm taking it as a sign from the universe to stay home. Smile I still can't find the packing tape.
