one of my fave plays/movies etc... 'Angel's in America' had a character in it that they claimed was agoraphobic....I totally disagree and think it was just an insulting portrayal(she took a benzo...i think it was valium and it seemed to knock her the f out...and she hallucinated...psychotic episodes etc...just a bunch o' crap imo)...but the movie is awesome other than that...I am sam did a pretty decent (dianne wiest)job...maybe jodie foster in nims island? but mostly movies are either making light of it or more often making a joke of it...

i did enjoy the recent 'house' episode tho..

re:hospitalization(s) once I was in a locked ward but needed to be out and get home so badly that I broke out...afterwards my p-doc just called me childish obviously he didn't understand...I made it to the parking lot but security found me...it can be quite terrifying (and sometimes traumatizing) to seek the help we often so badly need...

Do not bother seeing the new Green Hornet, it is the most boring movie I have seen in a long time! Not only is the acting bad but the story is slow!

However do see the "Adjustment Bureau" it is a wonderful movie with Matt Damon. It is a great story.

The only really good Agor movie I have ever seen was Copycat. When I saw it I was not house bound yet and I told my husband that must be horrible not to be able to leave your home. Now I know that being home is my only safe haven, going out scares that crap out of me. I do it but, I do not like it. Ever other movie I have seen about Agoraphobia seems so dramatized or silly, and this condition does not feel like either of those to me!!
