MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Smile Hi: I have had a week tking care of my great grandson, while the rest of the family went north to tend to business and visit friends. The baby, who I have taken care of while mom works, since he was a month old, is really a good baby. Gives me joy, and fun playing with him and watching him develope. Wouldn't you know tho, he got sick. He had been to the doctor befor they left to make sure ears were ok, as he had sniffles. Was cutting teeth, and just became one miserable little boy. I called the pediatrician, altho he had no fever, I asked if he couldn't have something over the counter to help him Yesterday, his appetite picked up altho he was so stuffy. I am running a vaporizer in his room, and he willprobably be ok when his mom gets home. Me, I had to lay down today while he was being watched by my other daughter who happened by. I will update you as to how I handle things as he is starting to crawl. It will keep me on my toes for sure. Is anyone else taking care of grandchildren or great grandchildren.

My husband and I took care of our three (6 months, 3 and 6)last Sunday night from 5:00 to midnight, when my daughter attended a wedding. my son was supposed to help, but wound up sleeping for most of the time, I had a frozen shoulder, and my husband wasn't well at all to begin with. The two oldest ones drove there bikes into the street, as they don't have sidewalks where they live, and the baby cried and cried from teething. At one point, I kicked my son's door (I needed two hands to hold the baby) and handed him the crying baby without saying a word. I then proceeded to make a small dinner for the kids and my husband. I never get to eat while they are here. We love the three of them like nuts, but we can barely handle them at their ages.

You did geat, girl, LOL, when you need help you just go get it! Good for you. I know how difficult it must have been. I have done things for others, including my children, that I should not have done, and should have said "no, I'm sorry, but I really can't do that at this time." I wonder sometimes, how many people put themselves out for others, like y ou did, when all the time, it's you that needs some help. Aren't we something tho? Older women are simply great!

You can go to the top of this page and click on an orange rectangle. You will see Guidlines, articles, members, etc. That will let you know more about the aging site. It is a fairly new site yet.

Then you can click on aging community,(that tells you what's new), aging support forums, and general support.

When you click on your profile, that page will also have the list of groups you are in, and below that will be recent posts.

Take your time and just explore.

Scroll to the top of the page.

You will see orange rectangle boxes that say group home, articles, members, diaries, leaders, and guidelines.

Then at the top right, you will see another orange rectangle that says start a discussion. You click on "start a discussion" whenever you have a question, or want to share something.

At the top left is your name. To the right of that are rectangles that say group home, articles, members, diaries, leaders and guidelines.

Above that to the right is a rectangle that says "start a discussion."

Whenever you want to share click on that first and it will be a new discussion.
