All these horrible accidents texting, using phone are causing, think such needs to be outlawed

I sit at stop signs, or when light turns green, front car is on phone or testing, yet we are all standing still behind such-I have almost been rear ended due to these jokers

I have no collision for my vehicle, I would lose everything so am being overly defensive driving has come about for me

All I say is from own experiences, truthful from my point of view-I have positive outlook on life. I try to be helpful, am a good listener, am an outgoing people person.

I'm a Make-a-Difference person in that I do good deeds everyday, help others as I can..

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

I believe in the Serenity prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.

Smile, God loves you!

THINK POSITIVE...things could be WORSE!

People who drive and text should be treated exactly the same as drunk drivers. Give them thousands of dollars in fines like the DUI people get and maybe they will think twice. Alittle slap on the wrist is not working. I myself no 2 people who have died because of this,

Also they come in my store talking on their cell phone and point to the cigs they want. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! No conversastion with me at all. Just throw the money on the counter and they just keep talking.

Come on.

Sue

I agree with you Sue that drivers who text need to get the same consequences as DUI.

It's unfortunate that people think being so rude to others is ok,, and they don't care.

When I'm taking my non-driving daughter somewhere in the car, I insist she put her phone away because it's rude to ignore me, and then spend her time talking or texting to other people.

Maybe you can wait on them when they are done with their phone call and when they can act like a civilized human being, and treat others with respect. If you don't say anything, nothing will change, and they won't learn a thing, if in fact, they are able to learn anything.

I can't help thinking about two things. First, what kind of person wants to tell people what they're doing all the time, and be available constantly? Secondly, I think cell phones are great for emergencys and to call your family when you spot a good sale to see if they are interested, and of course, for business purposes, but beyond that, if someone is on their phone lots, do they have time to learn or to think?

I'm an Advocate

Times are changing so quickly and it goes against all that we older people feel is proper. But to the young it means nothing. They all accept it as a way of life.
Any suggestion I offer is intended as friendly advice based solely on my own experience. Please consult your doctor for professional guidance.
