so good to here how you are doing with the battle of not smoking. it does get easier, i had a few times the 1st couple yrs when i really wanted a cig. but now i don't even like to be around cig smoke. i loved my cigs too...too much. i smoked when i was pregnant and until my youngest child was about 12 yrs old. i smoked in my house, so gross!!!but i couldn't go more then 2 hrs at work with out a butt. and at home i chain smoked. i did a lot of talking to myself-"you are strong enuf to do this" "there is life after cigs" "you don't have to smoke just becuz it was a stressful day" i took wellbrutrin(very low dose) when i quit, was supposed to take it for 6 wks but i took it for 5 mths. oh well, it helped take the edge off the cravings...just do whatever works for you!!your son will be proud of you someday!!! |
