MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

Hi Kim,

Have you tried a sensitive skin lotion with and SPF by Mary Kay or Neutrogena or Avon maybe. I use Mary Kay Timeless lotion. Although I don't go out really when it is cold outside since Esther is still little, but I am sure next year I will have to be more aware as she will be 2 and a half, but who knows maybe I can get another year of hibernating. Ha Ha.

Oh I also wanted to tell you I was also loosing a ton of hair before I had was in the hospital in June. I was surprised I had any left on my head. I think all my supplements have helped with hair loss. I just thought it was as a result of having a baby. Although Esther was almost 1 when this started happening. Oh what a complicated system we are. Thank God that He knows every hair on our head. Or lack of. HA Ha.

Thanks for your post. I guess I am reading them everyday. When you are hibernating I guess what else can you do. Ha Ha.

hi carolyn, yeah, it's hard when you are stuck home everyday. today i'm sitting here watching more snow pile up.i love snow for xmas but that's enuf.my balance is really bad, i've slipped and fallen 2x so far this winter.i try to take my son with me when i go out.i am also very weak now, so he is strong enuf to haul my 200+lb butt up if i can't get up.he's almost 6 ft and 200 lbs. my oldest is 5'9" and 165lbs. anyway, there are times i've been in the grocery store and squatted to get something off lower shelf and couldn't get back up.so embarrassing....

hey.............that squatting thing happens to me too! I will almost never go shopping without my (handsome, sweet and strong) 18 year old son with me. I never know if I'm going to get stuck in a squat, or just hit a wall as far as fatigue goes and be really glad to have someone else there to help me finish and get home. Again, it's a relief of sorts to know I'm not the only one having these isues!

wow, I am so glad i am not alone with the squatting thing. my son is so used to it that all i have to do is put out my hand and he helps. i don,t have to say anything which is nice when there are people around.my daughter and i went shopping when she was pregnant and we both squatted at the same time. uh oh....we ended up sitting on floor laughing....

It's getting worse, yesterday i went to get up off the sofa and i couldn't, my hubby had to help. makes me feel so helpless. he's very loving and supportive, says he'll always be here to help haul my butt around.says it's ok. he doesn't mind. but he is very athletic, loves sports. has been wanting me to learn to play golf so we can play together. right now i don't think i could even walk nine holes, or even drive the golf cart.

I'm sorry to hear it's getting worse............mine seems to have good days and bad days. What does your doc say about the weakness? I'm glad your hubby is so supportive, I know it's hard not being able to get out and do stuff with him........I feel that way with my kids. I'm trying to find less active things to do with them..........but it's not the same really.

how old are your kids? mine are grown and i still like to walk w/them. i would still like to go for walk w/my parents. i guess it's just something i've always done. my doc says i have lots of problems-work on one at a time.spending mths on partial bedrest left me way out of good physical condition. what does your doc say about squatting problem?
