Well, my allergist appointment is in the morning. I'm currently on 60mg of HC per day, which is keeping the tummy problem "just" at bay, although I have some breakthrough problems sometimes.

I have a full-blown upper respiratory death disease at this point, which is not helped by the fact that my allergies still seem somewhat "turned on". No Benadryl, no nothing. Can't even have phenergan for the tummy. This allergist better be worth it! LOL

The only test results back so far are the basic bloodwork - all that was normal. No eosinophil counts or stool cultures yet.

The GI Doc's office is being a total pain. I saw another doc there YEARS ago, for my gallbladder. They have a policy that you can't switch doctors without the old doc's approval. My internist's office is giving them hell over it. Everyone wants me to see this one GI Doc, not just because he's good, but because I know him personally (so does my internist), he has dealt with eosniophilic gastroenteritis fairly frequently, and I have a mega-phobia of GI Docs and absolutely refuse to see anyone else. So while they moan about their stupid policy, hopefully I don't dehydrate again and end up in the freaking ER. (Sorry, had to vent. I hate idiots.)

Hopefully tomorrow will bring some answers. I am rather curious what will happen with the Repiratory Death. Because no way can I take antibiotics right now. IV anyone?

I think this is beginning to have a negative effect on my normally sunny disposition. Devil I've been sick for over a month. Even I'm at a loss for jokes at this point.

You poor thing! Hang in there...it's all you really can do! I sympathise because I have been constantly ill with GI problems but luckily I've found the culprit (bread and milk) and I feel like "me" for the first time in ages. Still, it is dreadful to be constantly ill and not be able to do anything about it. I wish I could give you a huge massive hug!

I'm sorry that you're feeling so crummy. Have you tried nasal irrigation? (The kind where you pour salt water through one nostril and it comes out the other.) That always helps me a lot. I hope these doc turn out to be the helpful sort!

Unfortunately all of it is in my chest. I could use some lung irrigation!

It is official. I am allergic to prednisone. WHAT? Now I have to get a new Medic Alert Bracelet. Shoot me already! LOL Really? Who is allergic to prednisone? Oh, wait. Me! The woman who was once in the hospital for trying to go OFF prednisone. Irony stinks. Wink

Oh, well. They couldn't find anything else useful. My tummy is still in an uproar. Maybe eosinophilic, still waiting on those blood tests. Allergist is very interested in the results. I tested negative for all the food allergies, which he tells me is a good thing. At this point I was hoping for something. Anything. Allergic to oxygen? Okay, I'll stop breathing it. No problem!

I need antibiotics, but I can't take them orally. Back to the IM Doc. Shots or IV. Yay. Glad I'm not needle-phobic.

Wow! I can't believe it! You poor thing. Who would have thought? This is absolutely a time when a good sense of humor makes a BIG difference!

I sure hope that you can start your healing process now. And then maybe complete the process once they figure out what's going on with your gut. Very best of luck! Feel better soon!
