Hi Everyone, sorry it has been such a long time since I have been on here. My life has been one chaotic stressful mess after another lately. And ofcourse the holidays don't help! LOL

I am seeing a new endocrinolgist now. She is out of Barnes in St. Louis and I absolutely love her. I have only seen her once, but for that appt. I spent almost 2 hours with her talking to her, it was great, she actually listened to me.

They switched me from HC to Pred so I am trying to adjust, not too bad, but the dose is lower so I am trying to deal with that. She is also not just asuming that all I have is SAI like my last doctor. This one is testing me for all sorts of things, because she believes there is more going on. So hopefully they will figure something out.

I am sooo tired of being sick! I am still not working, it's been 7 months! They keep telling me that I can't work but I'm not bad enough for disability. Ok, so what do I do??

Thankfully, I have some amazing friends who put together a benefit for me in December and it was a big success. (despite the weather, our first big blizzard in years, I got stuck in the ditch on the way home!!)

Ok, well, I think that is all for now. I hope everyone is doing well and sorry again that it has been so long!

Diagnosed with Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency in May 2010. Now my endo isn't sure if I have it anymore. I was taking 5mg of Prednisone but am off it again. I am grateful for this site and all of you!

Hiya Pammy!

(Imagine one of those bobbing dog toys on a car dashboard waving.. Thats me!)

Please remember that accurate answers often need detailed source information. Please considering putting your DX status, drug dosage and other information into your "About Me" or Signature Line. That also includes what country you are in because measurement systems and diagnostic methods vary around the world.

Pamela,

Glad to hear you have found a good doctor! You may have to put your foot down, though, and tell them either you can work or you can't...period! Depending on your financial situation, of course...I understand; it's been almost a year and a half for me.

I'm sorry things have been so stressful for you. Feel free to come here and vent as much as you need to. Hopefully it will calm down now that the holidays are over.

Cynthia

Diagnosed PAI & SAI - 12/2009
PCOS - 7/2010 Hysterectomy - 6/2011
Propylene Glycol Allergy - 8/2012
20 mg/day HC
5mg/day prednisone

I always have an opinion or ten, but please consult a medical professional about your own situation. Advice on this board should never be a substitute for seeing a doctor!

Hi,

Glad to see you again Pam, and so glad you've found a doc you like! Half the battle...

Deb

I'm glad to share my experience, but I am not a doctor and you should always consult your own physician.

I'm hypopituitary (SAI and hypothyroid) caused by a pituitary cyst. Taking 7.5 mg prednisone and 75 mcg synthroid daily.
