Well, I've started feeling a lot better the past few days. I think the wellbutrin is helping, along with the fact that with my husband out of town, I have absolutely no choice but to function. (And not be in bed all day the next day!) Maybe some of it was state of mind.

Anyway, I mentioned before the opportunity for part-time work, which will really kick up soon, for tax season. (I'm a CPA.) I met with my friend yesterday, and he and his buddy are ready to go. I was very honest with him, but I told him I thought I could handle 20 hours per week, since it won't start for a couple of weeks, then as we get closer to April 15th, perhaps I can handle more. He said I could also do some work from home if I need to. My whole outlook has changed with this, and my husband thinks it would be really, really good for me.

So here's a question. I read on that UK site that stress dosing includes new jobs. I haven't worked outside the home for about 2 years except for a 6 week contract job. I do bookkeeping for a small business, but it closed in April, so now I do 2-3 hours per week. This is going to be a huge adjustment and probably stressor on my body.

Do you think I should be adamant with my endo about extra meds - and do you think I'll need them for a week or two, or longer? I'm still in a bit of a brain fog all the time, but that may have to do with my sleep issues as well. (This would put me on a better schedule if nothing else!)

By the way, if anyone has tax questions, I'm always open to helping. Just inbox me, but PLEASE do it before March! Tongue

My View

The answer is that if you feel stressed in the job, stress dose. If you dont feel stressed, don't.... If in the past you have been on edge starting a new job then that falls into the stress category.

I tend to be self confident when working for someone new etc so I dont need to stress dose. If however a panic is on (like a downed server costing $10K/hr) then the extra HC is needed. Its a self measurement thing that you get feedback on..

Please remember that accurate answers often need detailed source information. Please considering putting your DX status, drug dosage and other information into your "About Me" or Signature Line. That also includes what country you are in because measurement systems and diagnostic methods vary around the world.

I think it wouldn't hurt to ask the Endo for extra pills for starting your new job. If you don't end up needing them, no harm done.

I think its great that you've decided to take on this job Cynthia. You really wanted to do it, and you've taken it by the horns and now you're giving it a shot. If it works out you can do this, then wonderful. If it doesn't, at least then you can say that you tried and gave it a good shot. And it's part time too.

Thanks. Unfortunately, if it doesn't work out, I'll probably end up dead. Wink Lawyers do NOT like doing tax returns, I have learned, especially because they can't charge their normal hourly rates. So my friend is opening up his business just for me to do this. He told me when we first discussed it (months and months ago) that if I started, then quit, he'd kill me. LOL Sooooo...But he knows about all this and that it is different. His wife was my boss for a couple of years, and they know I do NOT quit. So the only way I'll not be able to do it is if my body absolutely refuses to let me.

I'm thinking, even though I hated it at my last pt job, I may try to work every other day, since I seem to need more rest after a long day. But these guys will let me handle it however I need to, thankfully. I'll have the flexibility to try different things. (I realize I am VERY lucky on this!)

It's giving me more motivation to feel better!

As I've said before, I'm one of the lucky ones! Last time I needed a refill of my Cortef, I tried the mail option (to have it mailed to my home). It worked so well, I tried it again this time. It didn't work so well this time, and I was down to 1 20 MG Cortef!Sad

I called my Endo's office, told them my trouble, and my Endo called the pharmacy and had my prescription filled right away. After work I went and picked it up, no problem. I don't think I'll try the mail option again, just me though.Wassat
