Statement of SEN. Don't know what to expect...

Hello Lisa. Im Aidan, 17. I had this Statement of SEN. What will happen is they will get in touch with the 'centre' or 'school' and then tommorow when they see you they will hopefully give you a diagnosis. If they dont give you a diagnosis then it will take about6-8weeks.

As your son is a teen i recommend that you give him a bit of privacy....if he wants to talk to the doctors on his own then allow it. He is going through puberty so just watch him...education and teens dont mix. xxx

Dear non-ADHD teens,

It's really not just being hyper. Any ADHD teen will tell you that it's annoying when you start acting hyper and shouting, OMG, I have ADHD! It sounds rude, but so is mocking such a terrible disorder!

Imagine, you have a huge essay to write. It's gonna take hours to research, write, edit, etc. But five minutes in, you think of something else to do. Five minutes into that, you've switched activities again.

Now imagine talking to an authority figure. They're trying...
