Is it just me, or have anyone else noticed. When Im sick and take my medication I feel like I stay sicker longer. Like, now, I'm sick and running a fever, but when I take my medicine it spikes up more. A significant amount. When it wears off, my fever is not nearly as high. and I feel alot better. And no, I was not taking any fever reducers. Anyway, I was just wondering. I've notice before, that if I dont take my meds. when Im sick w/ a fever, I get better alot faster. Has anyone noticed this or am I the weird one!

hi hun

the problem with meds is that when you have been taking them for a long time they stop doing what they are supposed to and make us feel worse than better

you will also feel worse when taking meds with a fever anyway unless they are anti-inflammatory meds

have you tried to not take your meds for a couple of days and see how you go.

you could also get your drugs changed to see if they have lost affectiveness

yes, I do take "breaks" from my meds. I actually just switched a few months ago from adderrall to Focalin, because my adderrall was causing some SERIOUS side effects. very dangerous. I've always noticed I'm more prone to a fever on my meds. I remember when I was in high school ( 30yrs old now.)coming home everyday, and always running a low grade fever. Always. I would feel flushed and exhausted and stressed which was always accompanied w/ a huge headache and a fever. I've always excepted it as it was. I mean, hey, I was doing great in school! Now, I'm much older and just would like to know if anyone else experiences the feverish exhaustion, or the intense headaches that I know comes from taking these medications. I have switched between quite a few and every single one has had this effect on me.
