Hi group!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a menapausal adult child of an alcoholic. I live with the love of my life (whom I have lived with for almost 4 years). He hasn't had an official diagnoses but we both believe him to have ADHD. Needless to say, we spend a great deal of time pushing eachother's buttons! He told me he thought this when we met. I am finally stepping out of denial and trying to arm myself with knowledge and understanding. I found you all through a search for support groups. I am looking forward to interracting with you all and hopefully gaining some insight into this roller coaster! Smile

Welcome to the group, Inan! I hope you will find the support you are looking for here. Please feel to ask questions, read the posts, and definitely post yourself.

Is your significant other planning on being evaluated? I think that is a very important first step to take.

I'm glad you found us!

Colleen

Thank you Colleen. Yes, he is planning to be evaluated. Right now, he is uninsured and we are struggiling, as you can imagine. But his son has been diagnosed and from what we know of ADHD, we feel confident that this is what is going on with him as well. I know accurate diagnoses is important. But, for now I think it best for my well being to gather info 'as if'.
