I am really starting to feel a lot of benefits from the ritalin. I have posted how uncomfortable i have felt at times starting the med and how I want to stop taking it. But it seems like i am adjusting to it I guess. Because it is feeling much smoother. I am able to focus better, follow directions, not so impulsive or obsessive, calmer, happier. Although I did have some cranky moments this morning but it changed and the rest of the day was great. Do others feel like it took time to adjust to there stimulant?

When I started taking Adderall, it was "WOW"

A I can follow one conversation until the end! That is until the med wears off.

Thanks for posting, jewl. It's important to let people know that the meds don't always supply an immediate result. Sometimes we have to give them a couple of weeks to start working. Glad you are having some success.

Glad to hear you're doing better. I've had a similar experience with zoloft (although it is a very different medication, and it's not for ADHD). The effects were more or less negligible until about six weeks after I started taking it. Since then I've found it incredibly helpful (for my mood, not my concentration)

I felt the benefits of my adderall right away but each med and each person are different.

I am so glad the ritalin is helping. I was genuinly concerned when your insurance company wouldn't approve the concerta for you. It is good news to see that things are working out.
