Well, if you are using it as a replacement, then you just have to worry about the calcium loss (take calcium pills with vitamin D) and possibly it being a bit rough on your liver. But make sure to take it with food, so as not to aggrevate your stomach, and at 10mg you should be okay. Prednisone processes through the liver, whereas Hydrocortisone does not. That is really the main difference, which is why HC hits faster but wears off faster. Pred lasts longer. I was on prednisone for awhile and did fine with it.
