Ok, after this battery of tests, the ones that stuck out were low Vitamin D and low white blood cell count. When I googled low white blood cell count, the results are a little scary. However, it says this can be linked to auto-immune disorders. Does anyone else with SAI or Addison's have a low white blood cell count?

I am not surprised by the low Vit. D, since mine always hovers low in spite of taking 50,000 IU once a week. I have tried to increase it, to no avail.

Hi Kat,

I too have low white blood cell count, also have hashimotos floating around, neither of these results are yet BELOW normal limits enough for doc to do anything about them. I deal with 4 auto immune diseases, AD, diabetes, Inflammatory polyarthritis, and alopecia areata, I'm on enbrel which suppresses your immune system, the diabetes compromises your immune system as does the other two. As far as my Vit D therapy goes, perhaps your problem is absorbtion. My first Vit D therapy from doc was to take 2,000 daily, then after several months went up to 4000 daily but I also take extra calcium to help with the absorbtion, and it has because my numbers are going higher in blood tests. Take care.

I am constantly low on Vitamin D, and take 50,000 units weekly. The last visit I think it was better, but I had been in Florida and was outside much more than usual. I have Sjogren's Disease, Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease, Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder and Addison's. I had a bad MRSA infection after surgery, so my white count was high for a long time.
