Hello everyone. I'm glad I found this forum. I'm traveling abroad to receive an Ibogaine treatment soon. I'm very nervous about it. I've been hooked on prescription pain pills for many years.I'm down to 2mgs Suboxone daily. I cannot get off of it. The withdrawls are still very very bad , despite the low dosage. Does anyone have any words of advice or wisdom concerning the Ibo treatment? I'd sure appreciate it! It is VERY expensive. I had to borrow $. If this doesn't work, don't know what I'll do. Any advice please.

Everything I have read about the ibogaine treatments have been on a positive note. They seem to really work . I hope so. I think you are doing whatever it takes to get off the drugs and that is great. You can do this, you are determined to have a better life. I know the withdrawals are horrible but it is only temporary ,you will get thru it. It will only last some days for years of happiness and sobriety. Keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing.

Thank You Kris! I appreciate your words of encouragement, more than you know. Opiate addiction leaves us feeling so isolated & alone. I am seeing MANY advertisements for "turntohelp". It's the suboxone/subutex drug manufacturer, trying to rake in more business. They sure have found a priceless gem in this medicine. After all, who can quit it? I have called every doctor, I can think of for help in getting OFF of the Subs. Not one is willing to help. NOT ONE! All of the addictions specialists are turning into Sub doctors. I realize this is a helpful drug for very serious cases of opiate addiction. I am angry because I was initially prescribed 40 mgs a day! 24 mgs(3 pills) in the AM & 16 mgs(2 pills)in the PM. I was so ignorant that I didn't realize what this doctor had prescribed me. The doctors own (heavily-drug-addicted)son, was the counsler at the clinic. Between nodding off & asking me for pills, He told me, "This is a wonderful drug. A MIRACLE. The miracle is , You're already cured. You've taken this for 2 years now. It is purely a psycological habit now." I KNEW that was a lie!(at least was pretty sure) BUT He was the doctor! I so wanted to believe him. I figured that I could take the mental jones, no problem! I got rid of a full script of Subutex and Ativan. I checked into a rehab in a different state. This medication has a delayed detox(the Sub NOT the Ativan.)I cannot begin to tell you, the HORRIBLE effects. It was my luck that this rehab was a wreched hell hole. Run by addicts who were ACTIVE addicts. The withdrawls were WAY beyond the usual horror. I LOST my hearing AND most of my vision. My knees buckled when I tryed to stand & walk. I literally went insane. The rest is a horror story. Doctors are run by big pharmaceutical companies. Their movitvation is $$$. We MUST be aware of that fact and take our OWN health into our own hands. Sad but true. I plan on filming my Ibogaine treatment for the hope that it may help someone else. WE need to help ourselves and each other. It really is a jungle out there. Thanks again for your kind response, Kris! We will get thru this TOGETHER.
