Actinic Keratosis Support Group

* Rough and dry skin lesion

* Gray, pink, red (erythematous), or the same color as the skin

* Located on the scalp, face, chest, back of the hands or other sun-exposed areas

* Patch or growth on the skin

* Limited to one area

* Later on develops a hard and wart-like or gritty, rough, and "sandpapery" surface. May also develop a horn-like texture.

The skin lesion is often easier to feel than to see.
