I was diagnosed with Acromegaly in 1984 6 weeks before my wedding. I was told I would never have children. In 1986 I had surgery after trying parlodel to remove the tumor. I never required replacement hormones and went on to have 2 children. In 2000 the tumor was back in a life threatening size so surgery again. Since that surgery I have been so unhealthy. I had female bleeding for 6 months straight with no help from the dr.s and never hungry, lost weight, hair and began to have fainting episodes (rare). Now I find I am weak, tired, fatigued, nervous, stressed, thin, and always thirsty. I found my original Dr. from 1986 and he was glad to see me. He has ordered 15 labs, MRI, EKG. I am waiting on the results. My work won't let me come back into the office and I only have insurance until the end of the month. I am not on disability and am worried they are trying to build a case against me to fire me. I can't work right now, I am way to stressed and weak. Any suggestions on how to build up my strength while waiting on the results and any suggestions out there to keep my job with this disease? Should call an attorney. I work for a large banking/insurance company.
