Hi all! My name is Adrian and I'm currently in my second year of a Bachelor of Science in mathematics, physics and computer science. Big reason I'm here is of course the abstinence and celibacy. I've taken 2 vows that indirectly cause the result of a vow of celibacy. The first vow is that I will not get intimatly involved with anyone unless we are in a serious relationship. This happened July 2007 because random sexual encounters were unfullfilling and disappointing. I wanted an emotional connection. The second vow says that I will not get into a serious relationship because the only guys I ever developed feelings for were straight as arrows and not interested. I don't find gay men attractive so I wanted to kill off the hope of ever finding someone so that I don't have the constant disappointment of not finding them. In the end I find that I'm far more comfortable with the vows than without! Only have one problem. The remnants of my sex drive are always reminding me of what I wanted and I want that to go away. Any one have advice for getting rid of your sex drive? |
